P-39N Airacobra 1:72 Arma Hobby - Model review

The latest Arma Hobby project has been released again, which is not surprising, especially since the team with turtle in a logo announced during the premiere of this project that all combat versions of this aircraft can be built from their kit. This time we got a box with three (or even four) paint schemes for the P-39N.

 Kit iventory:

Because  plastic sprues are the same as in the P-39Q kit, for a detailed description, I refer you to an earlier review, in which I widely wrote about their quality.

Here I will focus on what is new, i.e. decals and painting variants.

The decals are printed by Techmod which means we won't have any problems with them. The print, as usual, is sharp, and the smallest inscriptions are readible.

We will use decals for one of the four schemes presented on the last pages of the manual:

1.P-39N Airacobra 42-9033 „White 01”. 100th Guards Fighter Regiment, pilot Grigoriy Dolnikov, april - may 1945

2.P-39N Airacobra 42-18354. 345th Fighter Squadron, Sardinia-Corsica, spring 1944

3.P-39N Airacobra 42-18736. Cdt. Jean Machet de la Martinière, GC 1/4 Navarre commander. Reghaia airbase, Algeria, March 1944.

And a fourth, bonus scheme:

P-39N Airacobra 42-9033 „White 01”. 100th Guards Fighter Regiment, pilot Ivan Babak 1943-1945.

You can read the article on the manufacturer's blog about the boxart scheme.

To sum up, Arma Hobby is gradually increasing the offer of sets containing the P-39 with very good results. This is completely understandable and I personally enjoy it, after all, there are never too many good quality models. Those who are wondering how this model is fitting, I refer to the article describing the build and painting of the P-39Q Airacobra available on the blog.
