P-51 B Mustang 1/72 Arma Hobby - Model Rewiev
You can never have too many Mustangs! It seems this maxim guides the owners of Arma Hobby, because yet another Mustang from the Warsaw-based manufacturer landed on my desk. This time, however, we get a miniature in a heavily assault-oriented version – a new sprue, added to the already known Mustang parts, allows you to equip the model with triple rocket launchers, commonly called bazookas by soldiers. This promises to be explosive! If you want to see this set up close, be sure to visit my YouTube channel where you’ll find a full video review of this model.

The box art alone, full of dynamics, excites the imagination. The great illustration invites you to look inside the box, where – as I mentioned – you will find the well-known sprues with the fuselage and wings, clear parts, and one inconspicuous sprue with additional armament. Since the Mustang has already appeared several times on my blog, for a detailed description of the basic sprues I refer you to previous reviews. Here, I will focus on what’s new.
The small sprue contains several parts that make up the complete rocket launcher. It’s worth noting that it was designed in two variants differing in wing attachment points – in this set, we use the three-point mounting system. Overall, it makes a very good impression – the construction looks light, and the details are excellently reproduced. Additionally, the sprue includes templates that you place on the wings to drill mounting holes in the right places. A very clever solution.
The decals are new as well, which is no surprise. The set contains decals printed by Techmod – I have praised their quality many times before, and this time I have no complaints either. As usual, masks for the canopy are also included.
The manufacturer offers three painting schemes, all from the Pacific Theater – China, Burma, India. Two of them show Mustangs in natural metal, while the third features the classic “pony” in Olive Drab over Neutral Grey camouflage.

Arma Hobby continues its policy of providing free 3D print files – inside the box, I found a note with a link to download these extras. Importantly, now you can also buy them as ready 3D prints. I really appreciate this move by the manufacturer – the richer the offer, the better for us modelers.

There’s no need to write more. The horse is what it is, and the Arma Hobby Mustang is a well-known and loved model. Personally, I’m glad to see another release, especially since this time we can hang something new under it.
